Dandelion Honey

Tastes just like real honey!

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Dandelion Petals

  • 4 Cups Water

  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Cara Cara Orange

  • 3 Cups Sugar

Directions

  1. Pluck Dandelion petals off (you can put the whole head in, it might add some bitterness though)

  2. Add 4 cups of petals, sliced orange, and vanilla to the 4 cups of water.

  3. Bring to boil then reduce to simmer and simmer uncovered for 30 mins.

  4. let steep for 6 hours or overnight in the fridge.

  5. strain with cheese cloth, then bring the dandelion tea back to a boil.

  6. Add 3 cups of sugar and simmer uncovered for about an hour or till desired thickness. (It will thicken more as it cools)

  7. Enjoy on biscuits and oatmeal, makes a perfect tea sweetener, or make dandelion honey butter! Enjoy!
